The Tortoise and the Hare is Aesop’s classic fable about a race between the speedy, arrogant Hare and the plodding, steady Tortoise. Introduced by the Goddess Diana, CPP's original adaptation examined the perils of competition and conceit, while stressing the difference between finishing a job well as opposed to fast. Of course, the highlight of the show was the famous race between the Tortoise and the Hare - - complete with Cheerleaders!! Lessons encouraged students to: learn to take time to do things right as opposed to quickly in order to avoid mistakes; to avoid judging others as being unable to succeed based on physical characteristics or stereotyped beliefs; to avoid being arrogant about abilities; to not tease or reject those that are different; and more.
