PRIOR 4/3/25 UPDATE
BLAH BLAH BLAH #1: We are very proud of all of you for your efforts in the casting process.

BLAH BLAH BLAH #2: Those 41 of you who did not get ANNIE will hopefully appreciate the fun you can have with your parts, the learning you can experience from your parts, and, the thrill you will still have on the McCallum stage.

BLAH BLAH BLAH #3: There are no small parts, and no parts that don't contribute to the entertainment the public will have from the show when you pour your full talents into each part.

The "BLAH BLAH BLAH" above is my take on how each of you are likely reading (or skipping) those crucial points in your efforts to get to what you really want to see - THE CAST LIST.

That said, look at the cast list, then revisit the above notes.

Those of you with conflicts this weekend need to start studying and memorizing your lines and building your characters.  Off book date is in two weeks (19th) and includes full character accents and behaviors.

Rehearsals for Saturday are FULL cast starting at 10:45 a.m.  Warm up to be prepared to learn choreography and music in the morning.  After lunch we'll begin working on characters and staging.  No end time is anticipated yet, though every effort will be made to minimize the time.

PRIOR UPDATES
If you came to this page and did not look at the information and complete the forms in the orange navigation menu at right, please complete that process and the forms now!

Some of the forms are online only (participation application, biography submission, and email registration), others must be printed and completed and turned in (conflict submission, personal commitment record, participation release, and authorization for breaks).

The information below is repeated from the participation page for those that came directly here and missed it.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW MOST?
ORIENTATION IS ON MARCH 29 AT THE START OF REHEARSALS (11 am). IT IS MANDATORY THAT A PARENT ATTEND THE ORIENTATION MEETING. FORMS (see below) SHOULD BE COMPLETED BEFOREHAND AND BROUGHT TO ORIENTATION WITH THE FEES (see below).

Performing at the McCallum Theatre is NOT available to many students in the Valley. Participation in this production should be viewed by cast and parents alike as the incredible opportunity that it is. Sacrifices of time and other desired activities should be expected in return. As should compliance with ALL REQUIREMENTS! The end result will be worth it!

Participants will not be cast if they are not fully available ALL of Memorial Day Weekend and through the Show days. Memorial Day itself has no show-related activity so local barbecuing would be okay. Be mindful of other Mandatory dates on the calendar as well.

Excessive absences and tardiness will not be tolerated;
Nor will refusal to do the necessary work in a timely manner for an extraordinary production.

IS THERE A COST INVOLVED?
Yes. There is a $75 non-refundable materials fee that is due at Orientation. There is also a requirement to sell 10 tickets ($20 each). These must be paid for by April 19 but as you sell your tickets you retain the money up to the amount you paid to CPP. If both the materials fee and the pre-bought tickets are paid at orientation, there is a $20 discount.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Anyone from 5 to 18 that is willing and able to understand the above points and follow directions.
Older actors can be considered for non-principle roles.

WHERE ARE THE SHOWS?
At the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert

WHERE ARE THE REHEARSALS?
At the CPP/YTP Youtheatre Players Studio in the Shops at Palm Desert (until Sunday before shows)

WHEN ARE THE SHOWS?
The Tuesday and Wednesday after Memorial Day (May 27 and 28)

HOW MANY SHOWS ARE THERE?
7 shows over two days. 6 for local school audiences; 1 for the Public

WHAT TIMES ARE THE SHOW?
Tuesday, May 27 - School Shows @ 9:10 am, 10:40 am, and 12:10 pm
Tuesday, May 27 - Public Show @ 7:00 pm
